(1) The work to be done by the Quarantine Officer shall be as follows:-
(a) To inspect the imported animals, animal products or animal products in quarantine and to check whether or not the animals have been treated with feed, water and medicine,
(b) To inspect whether such animals, animal products or animal products are kept in quarantine until the results of the samples sent for laboratory testing are received, (c) cleaning and disinfecting the quarantine area after each shipment of animals,
(d) To inspect whether the vehicles used to transport animals, animal products or animal products are properly cleaned and disinfected, and if found not to be clean and disinfected, order to do the same,
(e) To inspect whether or not there is a proper arrangement to prevent the spread of disease by means of transport coming from foreign countries and to make arrangement for layering as needed,
(f) examining certificates and other documents relating to animals, animal products or animal product materials,
(g) If any infectious disease is found or suspected in the imported animals, to send information to the local animal service office, department, Ministry of Agriculture and other related agencies on the matter by fast means,
(h) If it is suspected that the imported animal has an infectious disease and there is any harmful element in the animal product or animal product material, the sample shall be collected and sent to the laboratory designated by the department for testing and the said animal, animal product or animal product material shall be kept in quarantine until the result of the test is obtained, br> (i) To maintain contact and coordination with quarantine check posts of neighboring countries.
